Our History

Flare was established in 1976 by Allen L. Collins, a graduate of the prestigious General Electric (G.E.) Tool and Die Apprenticeship Program. Mr. Collins’ entrepreneurial spirit propelled him into starting his own precision machining company. After 43 of successfully running and growing Flare, Al was looking towards the future of Flare and recognized the need to find a successor who shared in the values he had built the company on. Mr. Collins found such a successor in a then current employee, Tyler Haber who was at the time a college student and designer working at Flare. Mr. Collins approached Tyler about purchasing Flare in order to keep the traditions of honesty and integrity going into the foreseeable future and providing a stable work environment for the employees Mr. Collins had come to regard as family.

In April 2019, the sale of Flare Inc, was finalized and Tyler Haber became the proud new owner of Flare Precision LLC. Tyler has since kept a steady hand on the wheel and has helped implement new policy’s and tool strategies that have helped bolster the already robust nature of Flare. Through constant innovation and reinvestment into Flare, Tyler has been able to strengthen the services offered to Flare’s customers as well as keep the same level of customer service and satisfaction that all Flare customers have come to rely on in their businesses.
